I saw something like this / in a book.
인생은 / 3단계래요.
It says / life has three stages.
1번 열정기.
First is / the passion stage,
근데 열정기 때 / 착각을 한대요.
but people get confused / when they’re passionate.
이 열정이 / 영원히 갈거라고.
This passion / will last forever.
근데 거의 대부분의 사람은 / 권태기에 이른대요.
But most people / reach a period of burnout.
이 권태는 / 전에 의미가 있었던 일이 / 지금 의미가 없다고 느껴지는 거래요.
This burnout is / when things that used to have meaning to you / no longer feel meaningful.
그래서 열정이 많았던 사람일수록 / 권태가 심하대요.
So, / the more passionate you were, / the deeper the burnout becomes.
왜냐면 / 전에 엄청 열정적이었으니까.
Because / you were extremely passionate before.
정말 좋아해서 했고, / 하고 싶어서 했고, / 돈 안 줘도 나는 할 거야라고 했는데 / 이제 이게 권태가 온 거죠.
