Grammar Points from Today’s Lesson

-아/어 먹다 (to do and eat): 해 먹자 (let’s make and eat), 사 먹자 (let’s buy and eat)
This pattern combines an action verb with “eat” to describe preparing or getting food and then eating it.

-(으)ㄹ래? (asking about intention): 뭐 해 먹을래? (What do you want to make and eat?)
Use this ending to casually ask what someone wants to do.

-밖에 없다 (nothing but): 양파밖에 없어 (There’s nothing but onion)
This means only that thing is available — nothing else.

-게 (so that / I will): 내가 썰게 (I’ll cut it), 맛있게 해 줘 (Make it tasty)
This ending can express a promise to do something, or describe how an action should be done.

-(으)면 (if / when): 넣으면 매워 (If you add it, it’s spicy), 너무 세면 타 (If it’s too high, it burns)
This is the basic conditional ending, used constantly in everyday cooking instructions.
